Good things come to those who wait

My mother always told me, "good things come to those who wait," and boy was she right. Today was my first day in the office, and everyone was super nice. I don't just mean nice as in the occasional "good morning" or in my case "zao!" but I mean nice as in people here will go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Everyone on the team here is extremely friendly which made it easy for me to feel at home. We went out for a team dinner which consisted of, in my opinion, authentic Chinese food and Chinese liquor. The restaurant theme took after a famous Chinese author who wrote many stories about kung fu. The dishes were named after kung fu characters (I think), and they had a nice 'kick' to 'em! Okay that was a terrible joke, but you get the idea. The team welcomed me by having a "traditional bottoms up" drink with nearly everyone at the table. I'm not so sure if this was actually a tradition or an attempt get me drunk, but all I have to say is, its a good thing I'm Korean, otherwise this post would have misspellings up the wazoo. Here are some pictures of the team and the food that we ate.

The glorious food which is graciously sitting in my tum-tum

more food

There's something about Chinese food that just satisfies the soul. I'm not sure if its the spices or the flavors, but this guy is definitely going to have to hit up the gym, otherwise they're going to have to charge me for 2 economy seats on the flight back. So what's the moral of this story you say? Nothing really except that Chinese food is "hella" good. Time to catch some z's. Tsai gen.
