Boring nails? Talk to Yiteng!

There's no doubt that Chinese people are extremely intelligent. I swear, the Chinese are one of the smartest races on the planet, but throw in creativity and you've got...well...you've got Yiteng. From what I've observed, Yiteng is probably the most popular guy in Google China. In the lunch room, guys pat him on the back, and girls giggle and wave shyly at the guy. If Yiteng wasn't at Google, I'm pretty sure he'd be a famous Chinese pop star. Edison Chen better watch out because Yiteng is on the prowl!

So what else does Yiteng have going for him besides a solid job, boyish good looks, great sense of humor, a killer hair-do, and freakish height? (yes, he's like 2 inches taller than me). He's got sparkly nails! I noticed them yesterday at work when he was holding his laptop. A slight glimmer caught my eye as he was twiddling his fingers, and when I took a closer look, that glimmer turned into a nail polish with tiny specks of silver dust with the ever-so-slightest tinge of pink, which twinkled at his fingertips. I asked him why he did that, and his reply was "look at your nails...so boring." I looked at my nails, then looked at his, then looked at mine, and yes...he was absolutely right. Mine were boring. He said his nails weren't too crazy, but the subtle change sets his nails apart from the everyday, boring nailed person. Without further adieu, I give you...Yiteng and his "non-boring" nails.

Now, another popular figure in the office, is the infamous Kunan. I've been getting numerous emails from my coworkers, requesting that I fill this blog with pictures and anecdotes of Kunan. The poor fellow has been sick this week, but he's still the same loveable, silly Kunan. We played a game today where he had to act out a scene from what I think was a Chinese children's show, and he was dubbed "best supporting female actress." Here is a picture of him with his Oscar.

I don't have any crazy anecdotes about Kunan yet, but we'll be going out this weekend after he heals up, so stay tuned. Get well Kunan!
